Buddy is a 12 year old paint gelding who came in for rehab due to chronic founder caused by being overweight & overgrazing. Buddy\\\\\\\'s rehabilitation involved a strict diet and exercise program, weight and insulin supplements, occasional pain medication, x-rays and proper care of his feet. He is an extremely sweet guy and is now fully rehabilitated, though requires close attention to his diet to prevent a relapse in his condition. He is broke to ride and does well on trails. Gets along well with other horses, but could be kept alone as well. He is currently off all meds and is doing well on just diet management. He is being ridden frequently, and will require an intermediate to advanced rider.rnrnBuddy eats no grain at all.
